Hi, I’m Sue Lindberg. I’m in the business of teaching sign language!

I’m fulfilling my dream of teaching sign language to children and adults. I’ve taught children at several elementary schools for the After School Program and for daycare centers and home school groups. I also teach Introductory ASL for adults at the Waisman Center.

As a child, I attended the Wisconsin School for the Deaf in Delavan, WI. I have spent a lifetime learning sign and teaching others how to communicate with me. In 2003, I started my own business teaching ASL to children and adults; this has been my lifelong dream. Because I am a deaf woman with Cerebral Palsy, the children I teach also get a valuable opportunity to get to know someone with a disability in their community.

At each class, I take time to interact with the participants, so they can get
to know me and learn about my experiences. My lessons will:

  • Help children and adults learn basic sign language by using fun projects, stories, games, videos and songs
  • Provide children with the opportunity to get to know someone with a disability and learn more about people with other kinds of challenges in the community

Some of the groups I have taught for over the past few years include:

  • After School Program (Crestwood and Muir Elementary)
  • Home-school groups
  • Playful Kids Learning Center
  • Girl Scout groups
  • Waisman Center Community Training and Outreach Program

I'm also available to teach at:

  • Day care settings
  • Parent and baby groups
  • Theme parties
  • Individualized classes
  • Social and recreational organizations
  • Business environments

I would love to work with you!
